Dr. Ahmed graduated from Cairo University’s medical school. He received his fundamental surgical training at Cairo University hospitals and earned a Master’s degree in General Surgical Sciences in 2001. Between 2002 and 2006, he worked at Dar Al Fouad Hospital, one of Egypt’s largest private surgical centers. He then relocated to Kuwait, where he became a member of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital (Kuwait University Medical School). Along with his surgical practice, he was involved in various scientific endeavors and mentored junior surgeons through the Kuwaiti Board of Surgery program. Dr. Hamza earned his MD in General Surgery from Ain Shams University in Cairo in 2012. He also holds a diploma in advanced laparoscopic surgery from New Delhi, India’s World Laparoscopy Hospital (2014). In April 2019, he relocated to the United Arab Emirates and began working as a Specialist General Surgeon at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He is a member of the World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons (WALS) and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is an active participant in the medical community, contributing to numerous international publications and attending numerous professional conferences and workshops. Dr. Hamza is a board-certified laparoscopic surgeon with over two decades of experience. He has performed over 1500 laparoscopic procedures. He has extensive experience with breast cancer surgery, laparoscopic repair of all types of hernias, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy, abdominoplasty and abdominal wall reconstruction, emergency and elective gastrointestinal surgery, colorectal surgery, pilonidal sinus surgery, thyroid and salivary gland surgery, lymph node excision, anal canal surgery (piles, fissure, and fistula), and skin lesions excision.
