Biography

Dr. Ali Alsuwaidi is a Consultant Orthopedic-Shoulder Surgeon and Director of the Burjeel Hospital’s Shoulder & Upper Limb Unit in Abu Dhabi. He has over 25 years of experience as a Fellowship-trained Shoulder and Sports Surgeon. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and held Fellowships in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FRCSI) and the Royal College of Surgeons in Canada (FRCSI) in Orthopedic Surgery (FRCSC). He is also a Clinical Fellow in Arthroscopic and Sports Surgery (University of Ottawa, Canada) and an Upper Extremity Surgery Clinical Fellow (University of Ottawa, Canada) (University of British Columbia, Canada). He completed his Orthopedic Residency in Toronto, Canada, and earned a Master of Public Health (MPh) from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in the United States of America. Dr. Ali Alsuwaidi served in various critical roles over his 25-year distinguished medical career. He previously served as Chairman of the SEHA Orthopedic Council, Chief of the Orthopedic Division at the SKMC in Abu Dhabi, and Chief of the Orthopedic Division at Mafraq Hospital. He also served as a visiting surgeon at Alnoor Hospital in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain Hospital in Al Ain, and the International Modern Hospital in Dubai. He was also the former Medical Director and Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Mafraq Hospital.
