Dr. Bassel is a Vascular Surgeon Consultant. He earned his M.D. in Medicine and Surgery from Damascus University’s College of Medicine.
He completed an Internship and Residency in General Surgery in Cleveland, Ohio, United States of America. He then completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. After 15 years in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Bassel relocated to Dubai and practiced for nine years at a hospital. Dr. Bassel expanded his experience by joining King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where he served as the chief of the Vascular Surgery Section for four years. Dr. Bassel spent nine years in Al Ain at a renowned Government Hospital before joining Burjeel Hospital. He was the Chief of Vascular Surgery Division, Director of the Diabetic Foot Care Program, Director of the Hemodialysis Access Program, Director of the Vascular Laboratory, and Director of Quality and Patient Safety in the Surgical Department
