Biography
Dr. Nijandas earned his bachelor’s degree (M.B.B.S.) in 1991 from the Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore University, India. He then earned his M.D. in 1997 from the JJM Medical College of Kuvempu University in Davangere, India. He holds certifications in Basic Neonatal Ventilation (2002), Advanced Neonatal Ventilation (2011), Total Parental Nutrition in Neonates (2012), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) – 2013, and Basic Life Support (BLS – 2014). Dr. Nijandas practiced in India and the Middle East. He began his Pediatric career in 2001 at the Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, India. He then became a Specialist in Neonatology at the Government General Hospital in Kozhikode, Kerala. Dr. Nijandas completed a brief stint in a Saudi Arabian government hospital in 2004. In 2005, he accepted a position as a Specialist in Neonatology at a government maternity and children’s hospital in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Nijandas returned to India in 2009 as a Consultant in Neonatology at the Bishop Benziger Hospital. He later became a Specialist in Neonatology at a prestigious government referral hospital in Abu Dhabi in 2013. Dr. Nijandas is a physician with over 24 years of experience in the Middle East and India. He has authored numerous articles in prestigious journals and is co-author of “Pediatric Cardiology an Update.” He has also participated in and spoken at medical conferences
