Biography
Dr. Fathia Nasreldin Hamid earned her MBBS from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt in 1978 and her Diploma in Acupuncture from the University of Ain Shams in 1984. She completed clinical attachments in a variety of Sudanese hospitals before relocating to the UAE in 1983. Her years of medical experience encompass acute and chronic disease management, infection control, vaccination, and immunity. Dr. Fathia has been an outspoken advocate for public awareness of health-related issues such as diabetes, hypertension, hepatitis, vitamin D, and women’s health, and has participated actively in public lectures to various communities and associations. She is a Member of the UAE Army’s Medical Services since 1983, the Acupuncture Society since 1984, and the Sudan Medical Council since 2002.
