Biography
Dr. Job Simon is a Consultant in Endocrinology at Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Diabetes, and Endocrinology. In 1991, he earned his MBBS from Christian Medical College in India. Dr. Simon spent two years working in India before moving to the United States of America to complete a three-year residency program in Internal Medicine at Stonybrook University Hospital – State University of New York. He joined the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Winthrop University Hospital in New York, USA, in 2000 as a Fellow. He continued his education in 2002 at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, USA, where he received additional training in Endocrine Oncology, Thyroid Cancer, and Nuclear Medicine. He then worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Center of Excellence in Diabetes at Queens Hospital Center in New York, USA. For seven years, Dr. Simon worked as a Consultant Endocrinologist in a tertiary referral center for oncology in Al Ain, UAE, in 2003. He worked in diabetes, endocrinology, and thyroid oncology and evaluated morbidly obese patients before bariatric surgery. He moved to Abu Dhabi in 2012 as a Consultant Endocrinologist and Chief of the Endocrine Division of a large government hospital in Abu Dhabi and later joined Burjeel Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
