Dr. Desislava Mladenova Markova has been appointed as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology/Fetal Medicine at Burjeel Hospital. She graduated from Higher Medical University Bulgaria, qualifying as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and subsequently worked as a Senior Assistant Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Desi completed her training in Fetal Medicine at Kings’ College Hospital, London, under the direction of Professor Kypros Nicolaides, and was awarded the Fetal Medicine Foundation Diploma. She also completed the Advanced Training Skills Module in Fetal Medicine at Kings’ College Hospital, London, and a Master’s degree in Prenatal Genetics and Fetal Medicine from University College London, UK. Dr. Desi has extensive experience in high-risk antenatal ultrasound scanning during pregnancy and is highly skilled in intrauterine procedures. She is also an expert in the early diagnosis and management of fetal and chromosomal abnormalities.
