Dr. Mona Amin Mohamed Elmelega
Biography
Dr. Mona Amin Mohamed Elmelege earned her M.B.B.CH from Alexandria University’s Faculty of Medicine in 1999. In 2004, she earned a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the same university. In 2017, she earned a Postgraduate (diploma) in IVF and Reproductive Medicine from Germany-UAE. She is currently pursuing her MRCOG (Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynecology) qualification. Dr. Mona began her career in 2000 as a House officer at the University Hospital of Alexandria and later as an Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at the same hospital. She qualified as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2004 and worked in various tertiary hospitals in Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In 2016, she relocated to the United Arab Emirates and continued her practice in Abu Dhabi’s large private hospitals. She has 21 years of experience managing high-risk pregnancies, providing antenatal and postnatal care, managing preterm deliveries and miscarriages, diagnosing and treating infertility and assisted reproductive techniques, managing all gynecological problems, performing various obstetric and gynecological surgeries, minimally invasive procedures, contraception, and family planning. Dr. Mona has extensive experience working with patients of various nationalities and is fluent in Arabic and English.
