Dr. Sunil GT specializes in glaucoma and phaco-surgery and has more than 27 years of clinical and surgical experience in the field of Ophthalmology. He completed his MBBS at the Medical College Trivandrum, University of Kerala, India, in 1995. He completed his MS in Ophthalmology from the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology, Madras Medical College, and Research Institute in 2001. In the same year, he underwent a Sir Ratan Tata Fellowship in basic and advanced cataract surgery (phacoemulsification) at the Medical Research Foundation, India. He completed a long-term glaucoma Fellowship program at the LV Prasad Eye Institute, India, in 2003. Currently, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) in Glasgow, UK, and the International Council of Ophthalmology (FICO) in Cambridge, UK. Dr. Sunil has worked in various medical facilities in his home country, including the prestigious Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai, India as an Associate Consultant in Glaucoma and Cataract Services for four years since 2005. To his credit, he co-authored several articles in peer-reviewed journals and research papers and made poster presentations at local and international conferences. Dr. Sunil’s field of interest is in the early diagnosis of glaucoma and surgical management of all types of glaucoma and cataract.
