Supriya Sundaram

Dr. Supriya Sundaram is an experienced physician dually accredited in Internal Medicine and Respiratory Medicine. She received her Respiratory Medicine Training in Cambridge, England. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Edinburgh (Medicine). She was a consultant at the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, UK, until 2013. Since then, she has been a consultant at Kauvery Hospital in Chennai, India. Her particular interest is respiratory infections. Her research was undertaken at Papworth Hospital in Cambridge. She was awarded a Doctorate in Medicine (MD) for her thesis “Characterisation of exacerbations in non-CF bronchiectasis” to establish endpoints in measuring treatment efficacy. She was trained in lung transplantation at the same center. Her clinical expertise includes fiberoptic bronchoscopy and sleep studies. She has been actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and has been a Royal College Tutor for Medicine.
