Dr. Thatiana Moreno Horta Chesney
Biography
Dr. Thatiana Chesney graduated from a prestigious public Medical University in Brazil and completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Hospital das Clnicas – Universidade de S. Paulo, Latin America’s largest hospital complex. Dr. Thatiana worked as a Specialist in Anesthesia at Hospital das Clnicas for four years, primarily providing anesthesia for trauma, neurosurgery, and emergency cases in both adults and children. Additionally, she spent four years at Hospital e Maternidade Santa Joana, a private maternity hospital accredited by the Joint Commission International and designated by SOAP as a Center of Excellence in Obstetric Anesthesia (Society of Obstetric Anesthesia and Perinatology). She was also a member of the anesthesia team at Sabará Children’s Hospital in Brazil, a prestigious private pediatric hospital. In the UAE, she worked as a locum doctor, caring for ICU patients in a renowned public hospital during the fight against COVID-19. Additionally, she has volunteered on humanitarian projects that care for war-wounded patients in conflict-affected countries. Dr. Thatiana received the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care’s European Diploma in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care in 2019. (ESAIC). In 2017, she was awarded the Brazilian Society of Anesthesiology’s Superior Title in Anesthesiology, the most prestigious title among Brazilian anesthesiologists. She is a Member of both the European and Brazilian Societies of Anesthesiologists. She is constantly participating in scientific meetings and events to improve her practice. Her primary areas of interest are obstetric anesthesia, anesthesia for polytraumatized patients, and blood management.
