Biography
Dr. Vanitha Ramalingam earned her MBBS in 2000 from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER), Puducherry, India—”a national institution and tertiary care referral hospital”—and her DNB (Pediatrics) in 2008 from Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS Trust Hospital (KKCTH), Chennai, India—a multidisciplinary tertiary pediatric institution. Dr. Vanitha has 13 years of experience in general pediatrics in both India and the United Arab Emirates. She has worked as a Senior Resident / Assistant Professor (Pediatrics) at several renowned medical colleges in India, where she taught undergraduate and postgraduate students. In 2014, she relocated to the UAE and began working as a specialist pediatrician at a private hospital in Al Ain. She later joined Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi as a pediatric specialist and continued her practice. Her areas of interest include the management of acute infectious diseases in children, breastfeeding counseling, development, nutritional assessment, weaning advice, vaccination, preventive guidance for common childhood illnesses, and pediatric asthma and allergy. She has published articles in prestigious journals and stays current through attendance at conferences and workshops.
