Biography
Dr. Kamal Osman is a Consultant- Paediatric Gastroenterology at Burjeel Hospital. He received his degree in Medicine from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. He holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and Fellowship of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (FRCPCH), UK. He had his training in Pediatric Gastroenterology in the UK. He worked as a Consultant in Pediatric Gastroenterology at the Glasgow Children’s hospital in Scotland, UK, for four years. He was the Head of the Pediatric Gastroenterology section at Hamad General Hospital in Qatar from 2007-to 2015 and then the Director of intestinal failure and bowel rehabilitation at Sidra Medicine Hospital in Qatar from 2017-2019. With more than 30 years of work experience in Sudan, the United Kingdom, Qatar, and the UAE, Dr. Kamal’s main focus areas include chronic diarrhea & vomiting, feeding difficulties, enteral & parenteral nutrition, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). He is well experienced in diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy in children. He has more than 20 publications in world-renowned, peer-reviewed medical journals.
