Dr. Bassel Safi Consultant Vascular Surgery

Biography

Dr. Bassel is a Consultant in Vascular Surgery. He acquired his M.D. in Medicine and Surgery from the College of Medicine at Damascus University in Syria. He did his Internship and Residency in General Surgery in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He then completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery from Memphis, Tennessee, USA. He holds a Board Certification in General Surgery and Vascular Surgery. After working for 15 years in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Bassel moved to a Hospital in Dubai, where he practiced for nine years. To widen his experience further, Dr. Bassel joined King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, headed the Vascular Surgery Section for the following four years. Before joining Burjeel, Dr. Bassel spent the last nine years in Al Ain at a reputed government hospital. He handled multiple responsibilities as the Chief of Vascular Surgery Division, Director of the Diabetic Foot Care Program, Director of the Hemo-Dialysis Access program, Director of the Vascular Lab, and Director of Quality and Patient Safety in the Surgical Department.
