Biography
Prof. Dr. Med. Matthias Honl is a German Board-Certified Orthopedic Consultant with over 30 years of experience in complete joint replacement surgeries (knee and hip) and sports injuries on an international level. Among his accomplishments, he has authored over 30 publications on Orthopedic therapy and holds six patents, including “combined spinal fixator” and “femoral component of hip joint prosthesis (SILENT).” He is also a renowned instructor at several prestigious universities throughout the world. In 1990, he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Medicinal Science from Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf, and in 1997, he was elected Vice President of the “International Society for Jet Cutting in Medicine.” He was an Assistant Professor of Medicinal Engineering at Technical University Hamburg – Harburg in his early years. In numerous international hospitals worldwide, he was the medical director of the Department of Orthopedic and Trauma Surgery. In 2013, he was named the Gulf’s Leading Orthopedic Specialist in honor of his outstanding achievements in orthopedics and vital contributions to society.
