Biography

Dr. Bhavna graduated from BJ. Medical College, Pune University, India, in 2000 and later obtained her Master’s degree (MD) in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Seth G.S Medical College and King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai University, India, in 2005. Before moving to UAE, she has worked as an Assistant professor at NKP Salve Institute of Medical Sciences and Research center, Nagpur, India, and has more than 15 years of clinical experience in the field. She has worked in JCI accredited multi-specialty hospital in Sharjah for two years. She is currently pursuing MRCOG from the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynecology (RCOG), UK. Her clinical expertise includes,

• Antenatal-Intranatal-Postnatal care for low risk and high-risk pregnancy and labor
• Normal, instrumental, and cesarean delivery, vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC)
• Management of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy
• Contraceptive advice and guidance
• Management of gynecological conditions-pelvic infection, menstrual disorders, menopause, ovarian cysts, pelvic floor disorders, fibroids, endometriosis, screening for cancer cervix, uterus, and ovaries
• Gynecological procedures including pap smear, colposcopy, cervical and endometrial biopsy, Mirena insertion and removal, Bartholin cyst and abscess management, cervical/endometrial polyp removal, hysterectomy (abdominal, vaginal), ovarian cystectomy, abdominal myomectomy, pelvic floor repair
• Infertility and reproductive endocrinology evaluation and management
• Ultrasound and Doppler in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Endoscopy procedures – diagnostic and operative hystero-laparoscopy
• Preventive health care for women, a well-woman exam
