Biography

Dr. Osama Zayed is a Consultant in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. He has worked in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for over 33 years. From 1990 to 1991, he was a professor at Ain Shams University and a consultant in anesthesia and intensive care at Soliinan Fakeeh Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. From 1993 to 1998, he was a consultant in anesthesia and intensive care at Saudi Germany Hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Since 2007, he has served as Secretary of the Society of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine in the United Arab Emirates and as a Board Member from 2003 to 2013. He holds Master’s degrees in Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, and Intensive Care Medicine and a consultant degree in Anesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. He is the author of twenty publications in the fields of anesthesia, pain, and intensive care. His clinical expertise includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Neurosurgery obstetrics anesthesia general surgery
  • ENT & ophthalmology surgery orthopedic surgery
  • Neuro-axial analgesia
  • Ultrasound-guided regional nerve block
