Dr. Mohammad Abedian
Biography
Dr. Mohammad Abedian is a Neonatologist and the Head of the Department. He received extensive medical training in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. He has worked in Neonatology for 30 years. He spent 23 years in Abu Dhabi’s multispecialty government hospital. In 2015, he established a level III NICU at Medeor Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He was transferred to Burjeel Hospital in Abu Dhabi in 2020. He is in charge of the Neonatal Department at all VPS Healthcare hospitals in Abu Dhabi. He is a specialist in non-invasive ventilation for the management of extreme preterm infants from 25 weeks of gestation with a birth weight of 500 gm or greater. Numerous extreme preterms have been discharged without complications. Throughout his career, he has efficiently managed preterm and newborns with a variety of medical, surgical, and sick babies, as well as the early management of congenital heart diseases.
